The Viterbo MBA program is fully accredited by Higher Learning Commission and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The program offers flexible and convenient scheduling with relevant, focused, and applicable work designed for the adult learner. The cohort-based model builds a strong professional network for the student. The 34-credit program (with some blended and online courses available) can be completed in less than two years by taking one class at a time, one evening per week. The caring, Franciscan, and student-centered environment offers rich discussions and broad perspectives. This program has a strong reputation and is a great value.
Dahl School MBA students may choose to complete a general MBA, selecting any variety of elective courses. They may also choose the MBA in Health Care Leadership (online). Or students have the option to choose elective courses so that they complete the requirements for emphasis areas, which build in-depth expertise in a chosen field. To complete the MBA with an emphasis area, students complete 24 credits of core coursework, the capstone project, and choose at least two electives focused in the area of emphasis.
Our MBA program is fully accredited by the ACBSP and recruits talented students with diverse academic and professional backgrounds. Non-business majors can prepare for our MBA program through a 3-credit Foundations of Business course. The Viterbo MBA is the program of choice for professionals in our region. Students in the program choose to complete a general MBA program or one of the optional emphasis areas.
The MBA in Health Care Leadership is designed for employed professionals including health care administrators, physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals seeking to develop their leadership and business skills and open new opportunities in their organizations and careers.
Following our rich tradition of developing health care professionals and leaders, this certificate enables today’s health care professionals to develop a holistic business approach to leading a rapidly evolving and regulated industry. Participants will acquire practical knowledge of leadership, change, business strategies, process improvement, legal and ethical issues, finance, and/or population health. Flexible elective credits allow participants to tailor the program to their particular professional needs or specialty area within the health care setting.
Ethical Leadership in Organizations is designed for people who want to learn how to lead effective, ethical change within their organizations. Participants will acquire practical knowledge of servant leadership and ethical decision-making. They will also learn specific leadership strategies, based upon a proven training program that will establish long-lasting and significant transformation of the workplace culture. The interdisciplinary nature of the program allows participants to tailor the program to their particular professional needs.
