LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Young Irelanders, a band comprised of eight outstanding musicians described as having “Irish traditional music, song, and dance running through their veins,” will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

The eclectic music The Young Irelanders create is traditional Irish music, Celtic music, folk music, world music, jazz music, country music and popular music that result in a very unique and multifaceted sound.

Although still in their 20s and 30s, these performers have already achieved a tremendous amount in their young lives. Between them they have performed for many world leaders, including U.S. presidents, presidents of Ireland, the Queen of England, and the president of China, and at famous venues such as Radio City Music Hall, the Great Hall of the People in China, Kremlin State Palace in Moscow, and the U.S. Capitol Building. They have also toured as lead performers with Riverdance and Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance.

This performance is part of Viterbo’s Bright Star Season and is sponsored by Gundersen Health System and in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts. 101.1 FM The River is the media sponsor.

Tickets are $34 for main floor, $30 for lower balcony, and $24 for upper balcony seating. For tickets, contact the Viterbo box office at 608-796-3100 or visit
