|What services does the ARC offer?||Tutoring, workshops, test proctoring, developmental classes, advising, study strategies assistance, and accommodations|
|Do the ARC services cost anything?||There is no additional cost for Viterbo students.|
|Am I able to access services if I am an off-campus or online Viterbo student?||Yes. Math and Writing Assistance is available online as well as face-to-face.|
|Why do students use the ARC?||Some of the more common reasons are
i. because students want to strengthen their knowledge in a subject area;
ii. because students want to be supported in their pursuit of a college education;
iii. because the staff are friendly and want to see students succeed;
iv. because the staff can help provide or connect students with the assistance they need.
|What do I do if I am a student with a documented disability?||You will need to make an appointment to meet Jane Eddy to submit your documentation and arrange your accommodations. To make an appointment go to Genbook, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 608-796-3194.|

|How is tutoring offered?||i. . In small group, supplemental instruction (SI), individual, or drop-in formats
ii. Undergraduate writing tutoring can be scheduled using Genbook or by calling the ARC front desk, 608-796-3190.
iii. Graduate writing tutoring is offered primarily online. Students should complete the Graduate Writing Assistance form. For questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
|How do I request a tutor?||i. Visit the Academic Resource Center and complete a tutoring request form.
ii. Supplemental instruction and drop-in tutoring times are advertised each semester and do not require prior sign up.
|When is tutoring offered?||i. Supplemental instruction and drop-in times are announced each semester and offered at a variety of times.
ii. Small group tutoring times are arranged based on your indicated availability on the tutoring request form.
iii. Writing tutoring is offered by appointment using Genbook.
|Who are the tutors?||The ARC uses student tutors and staff tutors. Student tutors have been recommended by the course faculty and have achieved a B or better in the course in which they are tutoring.|
|How do I become a tutor? Are tutors paid?||i. Student tutors will need to have achieved a B or better in any course they wish to tutor, be recommended by faculty, and attend tutor training.

|Who may take a test in the ARC?||i. Any Viterbo student may take a test in the ARC with prior approval from their instructor.
ii. Students without a diagnosis are asked to test during test-taking hours and will be seated within the ARC.
iii. Students with a diagnosed disability need to meet with Jane Eddy to arrange the necessary accommodations.
|What are the test taking hours?||i. Exams will be proctored Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m.- 6:30 p.m. or Fridays 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.|
|How do I arrange to take a test in the ARC?||Check with your instructor for approval to take your test in the ARC. Once your instructor has sent your exam to the ARC, you may then take the exam during the testing hours.|
