Viterbo employees are invited to check out the professional development SharePoint site located on the Human Resources web page.
There will be two professional development opportunities each month, held the second Tuesday of the month from 9–10 a.m. and the fourth Thursday of the month from 1–2 p.m. Locations will be determined based on the topic of discussion.
There are also other opportunities for professional development through self-guided webinars through TIAA as well as extra courses through Viterbo’s SafeColleges online platform. The calendar will be updated as more topics and sessions are added.
Organizing your Inbox: Join Chad Gilbeck, IIT, to learn how to take control of your inbox, get organized, learn how to create folders, and rules to ensure that your inbox stays organized and manageable. The event will be held Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 9–10 a.m. in the School of Nursing Building Room 101.
Setting up SharePoint: Learn how to setup and maintain a SharePoint site on Thursday, Sept. 26from 1–2 p.m. Location TBD.
Proposals for professional development sessions are being accepted. Complete this survey if you have a useful skill, workshop, or training session you would like to share with your colleagues.
Keep in mind the sessions are typically an hour to an hour and a half long. Topic proposals may include anything from managing your inbox, conflict management, mindfulness, creating a mail merge, to the history of La Crosse, etc. A wide variety of topics are being sought and all proposals will be appreciated.
