Conferences and Workshops

National Conference on Servant Leadership

For the past five years, Viterbo University has held a Conference on Servant Leadership for individuals who aspire to be servant leaders in nonprofit organizations, business, government, health care, ministry, and education. The 2019 National Conference on Servant Leadership seeks to gather individuals for a conversation on emerging leadership. By 2025, roughly 75% of the global workforce will be millennials. Our organizations will be directly shaped by this generation’s habits and expectations.  What can we do to better prepare the next generation of leaders?

Annual Ethics Conference

Beginning in 2001, the D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership has hosted 16 interdisciplinary Ethics Conferences. Each year the scope and influence of the annual ethics conference grow, having not only a greater impact on Viterbo’s own faculty and students but having a more significant effect on the wider stage of scholarly research on virtue ethics.

The D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership is proud to announce the 17th annual ethics conference. The 2019 Conference on The Ethical City seeks to gather scholars for a national conversation on the roles of individuals, institutions, businesses, and government agencies in providing for the possibility of an ethical life together in contemporary urban settings.

Annual Teaching the Holocaust Workshop

The D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership began an annual Teaching the Holocaust Workshop in 2007 with the intention of impacting young people by sharing lessons of tolerance and respect for all people.

The D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership is proud to announce the 13th annual Teaching the Holocaust Workshop. This workshop is designed for middle and high school teachers who want to learn more about teaching the lessons of the Holocaust in their schools, featuring national and local Holocaust scholars.
